Measurements on the density as a function of temperature are presented for the micellar systems: decylammonium chloride/ammonium chloride/water. The measurements cover the nematic–isotropic phase transition. The actual data, density vs temperature, show that the early pointed out steplike feature, at transition, is a circumstantial occurrence of phase coexistence, slow rate of temperature at the transition and an unconventional use of the cell densimeter position.
